Now at the end of the semester it's getting super stressful so self-care is something that I feel like has not been very present in my life, especially after starting college. So, over spring break, when I actually was able to practice some self-care I decided that I really needed to put this into practice on more of daily basis. Here are some easy ways to help you de-stress these next couple weeks!

This may not be the answer to everyone's stress, but when I am feeling overwhelmed and like I might forget something I really like to make a nice concise list either of everything I need to do or exactly what I need to study. Making lists really just helps me to empty my mind of everything I am worrying about, kind of like journaling.

Don't forget about your skin these last few stressful weeks. Take the time to apply a face mask and relax for at least the ten minutes it take for your face mask to work.

If you're getting overly stressed while studying you will not be able to remember what you're going over when there's a billion other things on your ming, try taking a quick walk around campus or even going to workout. That way when you come back, you will be better able to focus from getting some of your nervous energy out.

I love those stress relieving coloring books, so maybe next time you're feeling overwhelmed try these!

Try drinking a cup of caffeine free tea, this really helps me to calm down and relax. My favorite is chamomile tea it's very soothing and also calming.

When you are in the heat of finals week and have been studying for hours straight, remember that sleep along with eating are important. While eating healthy is best, if you're really struggling sometimes it's nice to have a fun pajama and ice cream party at the end of a long day!

It's Finally Friday!! The spring semester is in full swing for this girl, however, spring break is in 7 days and counting, so things are looking up! Today I am sharing my college grocery staples, because at least at my school the food is not great and I mainly go to the dining hall for dinner. I am gluten-free, so everything on this list to the best of my knowledge is gluten-free! I do 99% of my grocery shopping at Wegmans and if you are from New York (other than NYC) you know how amazing this grocery store is! Above I am wearing my typical errands outfit, comfy and warm!
Drinks - orange juice - cranberry juice - smart watr - k cups
Fruit - (for fruit I like to the prepared containers because this is a lot less work and there's not a lot of room to prepare fruit at college) - lemons - strawberries - raspberries - apples - pineapple
Cheese/Meat - cheese - Chobani greek yogurt - turkey sandwich meat - all natural coffee creamer
Other Staples - peanut butter - popcorn - trail mix - …

Today's outfit is what I wear is a great depiction of what I would love to wear everyday, thermals, my favorite leggings, and hunters which are great for the tons of snow we have in New York. I love wearing this outfit and outfits like it to my classes and like today, to run errands. This thermal is so warm and insanely cozy!

My August 2017 List

I cannot believe that it's the end of summer and I am leaving for college this week! Today I am sharing my monthly list for August.

I read a post in the middle of the month and it seriously was so great at explaining when the best time to post is if you're interested you can find it here.
The shows that I have been binging this month have been Jane the Virgin - the new season 3 is now out on Netflix, this telenovela is so worth the watch and Desperate Housewives - I watched the entire show, all 8 seasons, a couple of years ago and now I am re-watching this great show on Hulu.

I recently picked up this Smashbox Primer Water, and so far I have been LOVING it. If you haven't already checked it, I would definitely do so. I love spraying it on in the afternoon to freshen up my makeup!

This month I wrote my first post in my new series "A Book to Read," this is where I will be sharing reviews and recommendations on the books I read. Here you can find the first post on …
