April 2016 Favorites

Over the month of April I have picked up many new amazing products, from beauty to food and fashion. It has been such a busy month with the APUSH test, Junior Prom, the SAT, I spoke at an awards ceremony and many other events!

My first favorite is the book, do less; A minimalist guide to a simplified, organized, and happy life by Rachel Jonat. This book was amazing, I love organization and this really opened my eyes to things that I was doing inefficiently and how I could be more productive and have less stress. I HIGHLY recommend this. If you would like to read it, you can find it here.

My next favorite is a "techy" product, around Easter I got the Fitbit Alta which I have been really enjoying. Everyday you are suppose to meet your goal of 10,000 steps...unfortunately some days I have been unable to meet this goal, but I love this motivation it gives me to move more! It is a great product, I have it synced with my iPhone so that when someone calls or texts I get a notification on the screen of my Fitbit. There is also an active mode that tracks the length of your workouts which is a great feature. Probably my favorite feature is the silent alarms. You set alarms on your phone and then when they go off your phone vibrates, this way no one around you is disturbed and if you don't have your phone with you, you still are reminded by your alarm.

Over the past month, besides prom, I really haven't been wearing any makeup, besides brown mascara. I love my blonde hair by my eyelashes are clear. The mascara I use, I have it in both brown and black because I love it so much, it is the CoverGirl lashblash mascara

Happy May, I hope you have a wonderful month!

COLLEGE GROCERY STAPLES

It's Finally Friday!! The spring semester is in full swing for this girl, however, spring break is in 7 days and counting, so things are looking up! Today I am sharing my college grocery staples, because at least at my school the food is not great and I mainly go to the dining hall for dinner. I am gluten-free, so everything on this list to the best of my knowledge is gluten-free! I do 99% of my grocery shopping at Wegmans and if you are from New York (other than NYC) you know how amazing this grocery store is! Above I am wearing my typical errands outfit, comfy and warm!
Drinks - orange juice - cranberry juice - smart watr - k cups
Fruit - (for fruit I like to the prepared containers because this is a lot less work and there's not a lot of room to prepare fruit at college) - lemons - strawberries - raspberries - apples - pineapple
Cheese/Meat - cheese - Chobani greek yogurt - turkey sandwich meat - all natural coffee creamer
Other Staples - peanut butter - popcorn - trail mix - …

THE COZIEST THERMAL FOR WINTER

Today's outfit is what I wear is a great depiction of what I would love to wear everyday, thermals, my favorite leggings, and hunters which are great for the tons of snow we have in New York. I love wearing this outfit and outfits like it to my classes and like today, to run errands. This thermal is so warm and insanely cozy!

My August 2017 List

I cannot believe that it's the end of summer and I am leaving for college this week! Today I am sharing my monthly list for August.

I read a post in the middle of the month and it seriously was so great at explaining when the best time to post is if you're interested you can find it here.
The shows that I have been binging this month have been Jane the Virgin - the new season 3 is now out on Netflix, this telenovela is so worth the watch and Desperate Housewives - I watched the entire show, all 8 seasons, a couple of years ago and now I am re-watching this great show on Hulu.

I recently picked up this Smashbox Primer Water, and so far I have been LOVING it. If you haven't already checked it, I would definitely do so. I love spraying it on in the afternoon to freshen up my makeup!

This month I wrote my first post in my new series "A Book to Read," this is where I will be sharing reviews and recommendations on the books I read. Here you can find the first post on …
